Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight (Chair)

The Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight considers bills that cover a wide range of subject areas including transferring state land, ethics, open meeting laws, public contracts, government regulations, public records, and government reorganization. Last session, the committee considered 301 bills which ranged in subject from the transfer of all remaining county controlled sheriffs’ offices to state control, to the reform of ethics, campaign rules, and open meeting laws. The Committee also considered bills that transferred state land for various veteran, senior, and affordable housing developments.
