Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Awarded Legislator of the Year

Devens, MA (November 7, 2016) – Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly was presented with the 2016 Senate Legislator of the Year Award at the 7th Annual MA Jobs and Workforce Summit, hosted by the Workforce Solutions Group, at the Devens Commons on October 26, 2016. Governor Charlie Baker, Congressman Seth Moulton, Secretary Ron Walker, and over 300 business, labor, education, and workforce leaders gathered to discuss employment and training strategies for the Commonwealth.

Lew Finfer, Director of the Massachusetts Communities Action Network, presented the award to Senator Donnelly during a reception at the Summit. It is the first time Legislator awards have been presented.

Kathie Mainzer, Executive Director of the Workforce Solutions Group, shared “Senator Donnelly has been a steadfast champion for workforce development and training in the Senate. His dedication and commitment to workforce issues has helped shape legislation that is still benefiting countless families and small businesses across the Commonwealth. He’s inspiring and brilliant and we are thrilled to recognize him.”

Youth Workforce Program of the Year – UTEC, Inc.
Legislator of the Year (House) – Representative Joseph Wagner
