Update on Power Outages

I have been working with NSTAR, National Grid, and the towns in my district to ensure that all power outages are reported and placed on the priority restoration list. I am in continual contact with the state's emergency management services as well as each town's emergency responders to keep up to date on the restoration progress. Unlike an isolated snow storm, Hurricane Irene caused major damages in 17 states and crews as far west as Denver, Colorado are being called in to assist with repairs. While I understand the frustration these outages are causing, we ask for your patience and if you do have power and no a friend or neighbor who does not, please reach out to them and offer your assistance.
